Put your skills to the test and see how your backgammon acumen stacks up against players from across the community. Northstar Backgammon hosts tournaments once a month, offering players the chance to compete, improve, and experience the excitement of match play.
Our tournaments are played using the doubling cube and a clock, adding strategy and pace to every match. While all are welcome to watch and learn, Northstar tournaments are best enjoyed by 3- and 4-star players who are comfortable with match play and cube decisions.

- Never played before or it’s been a long time.
beginner
- Understands the basics of the game but little or no doubling cube experience.
intermediate
- Comfortable using the doubling cube and has regular playing experience.
advanced
- Experienced with doubling cube strategy, match play and competitive formats.
